1) Here the trail is in the wash and through the "Summerville".
2) A look back down from the "Dune" toward the wash.
3) Halfway up the Sand Dune we see the "Summerville" under the Morrison Formation.
4) Coming from the “Dune” across the Morrison Formation, we see the Mars Desert Research Station.
5) Passing by the Desert Research Station and looking back before the climb to the "Mancos" section.
6) Part way up to the "Mancos" section, this is the view of the "Morrison".
7) Over the rim and south the view is of the Mars Desert Research Station from on top of the Dakota Cap rim.
8) On this north end of the trail you are on the rim above the Morrison Formation. Notice the oyster bed we are riding on.
9) This view is from the same location: south along the trail. This oyster bed is exposed over an area 3 miles long and one half mile wide.
